Reflect and Give Thanks

It is my favorite time of year. I love to eat, we get a long weekend, football is on all day, and I get to spend time with my family. What else could I ask for. With that said I will keep my message short this week in honor of a short work week that is approaching.
With the holidays approaching fast it is important to take a minute to enjoy our loved ones. I would challenge you all to spend as much time relaxing with those you love as you can over the next week couple of weeks. This time of year is also a great time to reflect on our lives and give thanks for all the blessings we have. I will get you started and I hope you will add your comments to the Blog.
I am thankful that I have been blessed with a wonderful, patient and understanding wife, who is an incredible mother. I am thankful for two happy healthy kids that are full of life. I am thankful for the career opportunities that have been provided to me and I am thankful that each day I get up for work I am going to a job that I love. Hopefully you are thankful that you have the opportunity to work with wonderful students each day and you get to shape the person they will become. Take some time and give thanks over the next couple of weeks and find an opportunity to help someone that is not as fortunate as you are.

  1. As I sit and ponder all the things I am thankful and grateful for I am getting overwhelmed because there are so many and I don't know where to begin. :-) So typical of me to have too many things running in my head. So I have decided to list them. Here it goes:
-First and foremost, I am extremely thankful to have such an awesome, caring husband. Not only does he make me feel like a queen, but he is an amazing dad to our 3 kids.
-Now my 3 beautiful babes. Zach(10), Michael(5), and Rylee (2) provide me with daily entertainment. (Not always enjoyable, but always appreciated) Even in the screaming moments I am thankful because I realize that in a blink of an eye, these moments will be over.
-I am thankful for my parents for always being there through thick and thin.
    - I am also thankful for my large extended family. I have been blessed with 2 sets of in- laws and each provide me with much needed guidance. It is so special to see that my children have 3 sets of grandparents, many aunts, uncles, and cousins. It all equals up to an endless amount of love.
-I am thankful for all my friends(From childhood to present day) ALL my friends are so special to me. I love to laugh, who better to do that with than friends.
    - Professionally, I am thankful to love my job. I get to spend my days with kids who dream big and laugh at the little things. I am honored to get to be a part of their lives, and help them realize that ALL things are possible. I am extremely thankful to work for and with great people. You all help make my days brighter! Thank you! May you all have a wonderful holiday!

  2. I am thankful for my wonderful family, our beautiful home and our decision to move to NC 5 years ago. It was the greatest decision we have ever made. Every year at this time I am so greatful for the gorgeous foliage and the crisp, cool air. Life is Good!
